As a Security Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.

Your responsibilities will include:

✅ Protecting hospital buildings and staff, ensuring compliance and efficiency at all times. ✅ Assessing risks and making informed decisions to support colleagues and visitors. ✅ Conducting patrols and monitoring car parking, ensuring security is upheld. ✅ Managing access control systems and review and monitor CCTV as directed. ✅ Generating reports both electronically and in written form—good English language skills are essential. ✅ Upholding NHS values and delivering a high standard of service.

### Experience

**Essential**

- Attention to detail.
- Ability to solve problems and make key decisions under pressure.

**Desirable**

- Previous experience in a customer care profession.
- Previous experience in a security profession.
- Previous security related experience.
- Report writing experience.
- Worked in an NHS hospital

### Qualfications

**Essential**

- Educated to GCSE level 3 or above.
- Conflict resolution training.
- Restraint and breakaway training.

### Skills & Knowledge

- Be able to demonstrate good written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to de-escalate aggression and violent situations.
- Must be able to cope under pressure and in a conflict situation.
- Be able to work using own initiative.
- Use of CCTV.
