The provision of a high quality, efficient customer orientated security service and compliance with the Trust Patient Confidentiality Policy.

The job role requires that the post holder will either undertake the role of security guard during their shift. working one fixed day per week with the remaining hours allocated ADHOC in advance.

this position is a fulltime position with flexible shift working to suit the needs of the department working 12 hour shifts

### Main duties of the job

The Security department at Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital provide a variety of services to patients and departments, including maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff, the provision of a high quality, efficient customer orientated Security service and compliance with the Trust Patient Confidentiality Policy.

### Detailed job description and main responsibilities

- To provide a comprehensive Security service to all Wards andDepartments on site to be flexible in approach to work and undertake other duties that are assigned under the role.
- To provide a security service to the hospital and grounds, protecting people and property and detecting and preventing crime.
- To manage the Trust’s car parks, dealing with illegally parked vehicles and ensuring safe access and egress from site.

This post is required to work on a rolling Rota working 12 hour shifts with a 1 hour un-paid break.

### Applicant requirements

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
