An opportunity has arisen for an experienced secretary/administrator to join the Sheffield Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) Service.  It is an exciting, fast paced role, working within a supportive and friendly team.

The post is 30 hours a week and is a permanent position.

The successful candidate will be based in the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals SLT service working as a member of the team providing admin support to the SLT teams working in acute, outpatients, stroke, and community.

### Skills

**Essential**

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
- Ability to organise and prioritise a wide range of tasks, meeting deadlines and to work unsupervised
- Ability to communicate effectively, with a clear speaking voice.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good attendance and time-keeping.
- Flexibility in approach to changes in service needs
- Ability to be pro-active, show initiative and take responsibility.
- To maintain and understand the importance of confidentiality in the work environment.
- Ability to understand and adhere to Equal Opportunities Policy.

### Experience

**Essential**

- Experience of secretarial, administrative and clerical tasks.
- Experience of working in a busy office environment with an understanding of administrative and clerical procedures.

**Desirable**

- Experience of working in the NHS in a medical or patient environment.
- Experience of working with the general public.

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- GCSE English Language Grade C/4 or above or equivalent qualifications/experience
- Typewriting/secretarial qualification or equivalent qualification/experience

**Desirable**

- NVQ3, RSA3, ECDL or equivalent experience or qualifications

### Further training

**Essential**

- NHS Systems

**Desirable**

- Good knowledge of the TPP (SystmOne)
- Good knowledge of Connect EPR
