Sherwood Forest Hospitals are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a motivated and organised individual to join our Adult Critical Care  team.

As a key member of the administrative team, you will provide comprehensive secretarial support to the department’s medical and managerial staff. This is a varied and rewarding position, ideal for someone who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys working collaboratively within a clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Accurate and timely input of medical information to produce high‑quality reports using the departmental information system.
- Providing secretarial support to consultants, including diary management and handling telephone messages
- Providing secretarial support to our specialist family liaison and rehab nurses, arranging follow up appointment with patients.

## Person Specification

### Experience

**Essential**

- Previous customer care and secretarial experience

**Desirable**

- NHS experience
- Minute taking experience

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Good general education including English GCSE at grade C or above (or equivalent)
- RSA III typing/audio typing/or equivalent word processing qualification

**Desirable**

- NVQ level II Admin
- Shorthand speeds of 80-100wpm
- European Computer Driving Licence

### Knowledge Requirements

- Excellent communication skills
- Problem solving skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Diplomacy and tactfulness

- Computer literate with excellent keyboard skills
