### Job summary

Haverhill Family Practice is looking for a part-time salaried GP to work for our friendly, busy, town-centre practice, to cover maternity leave for between 9 to 12 months. The salaried GP is responsible for providing medical care and services to the practice population, managing a clinical caseload and dealing with a diverse range of health needs.

### Main duties of the job

This will include, but is not limited to:

- Face to face and telephone consultations (including e-consult)
- Home visits
- Administration
- Complying with the practices contracts (PMS/enhanced services)
- Education and training of junior/trainee clinical staff
- Practise evidence-based medicine, in line with national and locally agreed guidelines
- Conduct patient consultations during the practices clinical appointment hours
- Undertake duty consultations on a rota basis
- Triage patients presenting to the practice in person, by telephone and E-Consults
- Check and sign repeat prescription requests
- Check, manage and process patient test results
- Prescribe in line with local and national guidelines

### Qualifications

- Fully qualified GP with GMC registration
- Annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate)
- Be on the NHSE medical performers list

- Ability to take responsibility for your own career development, learning and performance and are responsible for ensuring that all your mandatory training is in date;

- Commitment to life-long learning and audit to ensure evidence-based best practice;
