We are seeking an experienced and motivated SACT Practice Educator to lead the education, training and professional development of the SACT team on SROMC.

The post holder, who must have proven SACT and teaching experience, will play a key role in ensuring the safe delivery of SACT through the development of a competent , confident and skilled workforce.

Lead and deliver education and training for the SACT team

Support and assess staff competencies in SACT

Act as a clinical expert in the delivery of SACT

Promote safe, evidence-based practice in line with national guidance (UKONS)

Support workforce development, preceptorship, and ongoing professional education

Involvement in audit, governance and service improvement initiatives

### Detailed job description and main responsibilities

- The post holder will support and facilitate staff at SROMC to identify opportunities for maintaining and improving standards of patient care
- In liaison with the Lead SACT Nurse and the SROMC Unit Manager will promote a quality service using research and evidence based practice including the setting, monitoring and auditing of clinical standards
- Will lead on education and training for all SROMC staff (including students and trainees and ward based SACT nurses) and lead the delivery of training programmes for SACT Nurses and other non-medical learners to expand their skills, promoting a learning culture.
- To act as a role model and skilled practitioner to inspire excellence, constantly demonstrating the highest standards of care and professionalism
- To be a highly competent, knowledgeable and visible practitioner setting the highest standards of care and ensuring the provision of excellent, evidence based care for all patients
- To provide an innovative and progressive attitude to the continual improvement of staff skills through research and evidence based practice

### Skills

- SACT competent with at least 2 years experience

**Desirable**

- Coaching or advanced communication skills
