An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Physiotherapist to join our friendly and supportive inpatient physiotherapy team at Torbay Hospital. This unique developmental Band 5–6 role is designed for physiotherapists who are passionate about respiratory care and wish to progress into a highly specialist respiratory physiotherapy position. You will begin as a Band 5 Physiotherapist and, following completion of a structured competency framework and approximately 12 months of supported development, progress to a Band 6 Highly Specialist Respiratory Physiotherapist role. Working alongside experienced Band 6 and Band 7 clinicians, you will gain valuable experience across a wide range of acute and specialist respiratory services while developing advanced clinical, leadership and management skills. If you already have Band 5 experience and ready for a band 6 role we also have Band 6 Respiratory posts with the same opportunities. ### Main duties of the job You will provide high-quality physiotherapy assessment and treatment across a variety of clinical areas including: - Acute respiratory wards - Surgical services - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) - Emergency Care - Paediatrics - Outpatient respiratory clinics - Pulmonary Rehabilitation services - Community and home-based respiratory care As part of a large multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in supporting patient recovery, promoting independence and facilitating safe discharge planning.
