The right candidate should be a GPhC registered pharmacy technician who is committed, enthusiastic, hardworking and has great attention to detail. The successful applicant will be expected to participate in the existing weekend and bank holiday rotas within the pharmacy dispensary. They will also have a chance to rotate around the different areas of hospital pharmacy and gain a wealth of experience; working in dispensary, ward based medicines management and technical services. We are an innovative and forward thinking department and have a great history of ‘growing our own’ talented workforce. At Wye Valley NHS Trust, trainee pharmacists and trainee pharmacy technicians must be within the final six months of their training programme to be considered for employment in substantive roles. This ensures that candidates have attained the necessary knowledge, skills, and behaviours to transition effectively into a professional role within our team. Any offers of employment are subject to attaining GPhC registration within the specified time frame. ### Main duties of the job The purpose of this job role is to work within the Pharmacy Department across the Dispensary, Ward Based services and Technical services, following the written procedures in place for each area of the pharmacy department.
