### Job summary

Hours - 37.5 Per week

Are you looking for a newly qualified occupational therapy post or want a rotational band 5 position. Are you looking for a role where you can make a real difference and where you are part of proactive and supportive teams? We have permanent vacancies for the Band 5 Occupational Therapist Rotation scheme Applicants should be excellent team workers and be able to demonstrate good communication skills. The successful applicant will have: Current HCPC registration or pending imminent registration An interest in working in hospital and community based setting Excellent communication skills Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently between TRFT sites and for patient visits in the Rotherham area and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. If necessary, adjustments can be considered in accordance with the Equality Act 2010 Valid work permit or be eligible to work within the UK Candidates qualifying in this academic year will be considered. Candidates who are considering Returning to Practice are welcome to make contact on the details below to discuss this as an option. The post is subject to Pre-Employment Health Screening and DBS checking

### Main duties of the job

Our aim is to provide a high quality, efficient service to maximise patients independence and function with the intention of facilitating safe, timely discharge and prevention of hospital admission. There will be an opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients many of whom have complex needs.

Our 6 monthly rotations currently cover the following areas of practice and you will be based in one of these areas:

- Integrated Medicine & Surgery
- In Patient Orthopaedics
- Stroke Unit
- Paediatrics
- Intermediate Care
- Locality Therapy
- Community Occupational Therapy (Adult Social Care based)

All our teams:

- Are based in multidisciplinary teams
- Are based in modern well equipped facilities
- Have at least one Senior member of staff within the specialty
- Commitment to preceptorship, supervision, Appraisal, CPD and staff training.

- Demonstrates skills & ability in use of computer packages on a regular basis
