## Job Content

### Job overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled radiographer to join our rotational radiography team in Neuroradiology at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery.

This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your skills in cross-sectional imaging while working in a specialised hospital. We take pride in the patient care we provide and expect the successful candidate to adopt a patient-centred approach and communicate effectively. You will be part of a truly multidisciplinary team, collaborating with undergraduates, trainee radiologists, surgeons, and junior radiographers, so strong teaching skills are essential.

The department offers interventional, 3T and 1.5T MRI, CT, interventional angiography and plain film. We are nearing the end of an equipment replacement program and have recently installed our 5th MRI scanner.  In addition, a replacement X-Ray room is planned in the next financial year.

The neuro-interventional service is one of the busiest in the country, leading the field in novel techniques and is internationally validated, providing a 24/7 mechanical thrombectomy service.

We provide a comprehensive cross-sectional training program to support radiographers looking to advance their MRI, CT, and interventional imaging skills. Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is actively supported for all staff members.

Participation in extended working hours, weekends, and out-of-hours services is essential.

### Main duties of the job

The Neuroradiology Department offers a service to Neurology, Neurosurgery and Stroke.

- The successful applicant will be a keen team player who has image quality, patient care and safety high on their agenda with a flexible approach to working hours.

- The post holder will liaise with the other modalities to ensure that room utilisation is maximised, prioritising patients to ensure optimum efficiency and service quality ensuring all data inputs on PACS and EHRS are accurately recorded to maintain integrity of data for both patients and the service.

- To ensure the safety of patients, staff and visitors to the Neuroradiology Department
