To assist the Patient Catering Manager in the development of strategic operational plans, and policies whilst ensuring the delivery of a safe, quality, cost effective Patient Catering Service. To be responsible for the day to day supervising/management of all aspects of back of house departments To manage the day to day effective communication between the clinical team and catering department To work with Dieticians to ensure nutritional requirements are fulfilled. Develop and maintain effective channels of communication to ensure all staff are kept informed in a timely and appropriate manner To ensure service delivery meets changing patient, visitor and staff requirements. To monitor and evaluate the performance of the Patient catering provision, against its agreed objectives, and be responsible for taking and implementing corrective action where necessary. To assist with the development of the service in collaboration with appropriate members of staff and to ensure that service provision matches agreed standards.
