An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Lung Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the dedicated Cancer Services team at Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert clinical support, assessment, information and holistic care to patients throughout their lung cancer pathway, acting as a trusted point of contact for patients and their families. The successful candidate will work closely with respiratory physicians, oncologists, surgeons, allied health professionals and community teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centred care and timely access to treatment. ### Main duties of the job

The purpose of the role is to facilitate the clinical flow of the Lung Cancer Screening and Symptomatic suspected cancer pathways and support the delivery of the national optimal lung cancer pathway within Cornwall. The successful candidate will act as a conduit between local medical teams across both primary and secondary care, and screening participants.

Working under the guidance of the Lead Lung Cancer Screening Nurses specialist, and closely with key stakeholders this role will be central to the delivery of the Lung Cancer Screening and Symptomatic suspected cancer optimal pathways. The postholder will have be responsible for facilitating onward referrals and diagnostic investigations as recommended at the Screening Review Meeting (SRM); or by the Cancer Consultants through the virtual review of CT scans.

- RGN- Diploma
- Appropriate Post Reg. specialist qualification / recent relevant clinical experience
