The unit is internationally recognised, with expertise in pleural disease, thoracic malignancy, airways disease, respiratory infection, and interstitial lung disease. It works closely with clinical services delivering lung cancer clinics, MDTs, pleural services, interventional procedures (e.g. EBUS, thoracoscopy), and the regional lung cancer screening programme. The fellow will join a multidisciplinary academic team (consultants, registrars, and an Academic Foundation Doctor) and a dedicated clinical lung cancer service. The role includes involvement in research projects, clinical trials, and data analysis, with a focus on early lung cancer diagnosis.
