### Job overview

Come and join our busy and friendly radiology department at London North West University Hospitals NHS Trust.

The post holder will be required to fully participate in the service provision across all sites. You will be required to participate in all out of hours services.

The post holder would ideally demonstrate expertise and knowledge in Radiology reporting with relevant qualifications.

The role also requires good communication skills, multidisciplinary teamworking and the ability to supervise and train other staff and students.

### Main duties of the job

To work within a team of radiographic and admin staff within the Trust.

To provide a high standard of expertise and care, and lead areas of the department in the absence of the Modality Superintendent.

To provide a diagnostic imaging service both in and out of normal working hours and help facilitate learning for students and less experienced staff.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.

### Education

**Essential**

- POST GRADUATE QUALIFICATION IN REPORTING
- HCPC registration
- DCR/BSC equivalent CPD Portfolio.
- Professional indemnity insurance

**Desirable**

- - Post graduate diploma/education
- - Member of SOR or other insurance arrangement.

### Knowledge and experience

**Essential**

- - Good knowledge of general department and knowledge of specialized area.
- - Relevant experience in areas where reporting along with image acquisition and image quality checks
- - Experience working in an acute service dealing with large volumes of patients from various clinical pathways

**Desirable**

- - Significant reporting experience / exposure
