### Job overview

Due to expansion within the service, an exciting opportunity has arisen within our renal specialist nursing team. The vascular access nurse specialist provides a key role in ensuring timely vascular access surgery and the maintenance of existing access.

### Main duties of the job

This post requires multi-professional working across renal, radiology and vascular surgery teams to provide a seamless service to patients. We are seeking a confident individual with excellent organisational and communication skills. The ability to work autonomously and prioritise workload is essential.

The vascular access nurse also plays a lead role in local and national audit of the service.

We welcome applications from registered nurses who have at least 2 years’ recent haemodialysis experience at band 5 or above. This post is for 22.5 hours a week, working alongside the existing vascular access specialist nurse. This is an excellent development opportunity to progress your career in renal nursing.

A programme of induction will be provided with support and supervision from within the specialist nurse team
