### Job summary

The Relief Care Assistant provides flexible, person-centred care and support to residents within Jewish Cares residential and nursing homes, working on a bank basis to cover planned and unplanned absence. The postholder will support older people, including those living with dementia and complex care needs, helping them maintain their dignity, independence, wellbeing, and quality of life. Duties include assisting with personal care, supporting daily living activities, providing encouragement and companionship, assisting with meals and activities, administering medication where trained, and maintaining accurate records. Working as part of a dedicated care team, the Relief Care Assistant will help ensure residents receive safe, compassionate, and responsive support whenever they are needed.

### Main duties of the job

We are looking for compassionate and reliable Relief Care Assistants to join our care teams on a flexible bank basis. You will support residents with their everyday needs, providing personal care, emotional support, companionship, and assistance with activities that promote independence, choice, and wellbeing. Working across our care homes as required, you will play an important role in creating a warm, safe, and welcoming environment where residents feel valued and supported.
