An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Rehabilitation support worker to work within our Trauma & Orthopaedic team at Conquest Hospital.

As part of the Trauma & Orthopaedic team, you will be joining a big supportive team passionate about caring for the residents of East Sussex. You will have the opportunity to attend an in-service training programme and complete supervision sessions with your line manager. You will also work closely alongside both the Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy teams along with the wider multi disciplinary team, including our newly appointed Advanced Practitioner to the team.

### Main duties of the job

- To assist registered practitioners in supporting patients with a rehabilitation programme, promoting independence and supporting active recovery.
- To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing therapeutic care as delegated by the registered practitioner(s).
- To work closely with patients and their families/carers under distant supervision of the registered practitioners providing accurate feedback to the appropriate practitioner(s).

## Person Specification

### Experience

**Essential**

- Experience in health or social care settings such as employment, work experience volunteering or placements

**Desirable**

- Demonstrate the values of the NHS and commitment to personal and professional development

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- GCSE grade 4 or GCSE C and above

**Desirable**

- Level 2 functional skills or health care support worker apprenticeship / NVQ level 2 in relevant subject
- Level 3 apprenticeship for example senior health care support worker or similar and / or NVQ level 3 in relevant subject or equivalent level of knowledge and experience
