You will be working as part of the Stroke Therapy team to assist registered Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech Therapists in the provision of therapeutic care and rehabilitation to Stroke patients.  Therefore, you will need to have an empathetic nature, excellent communication skills and  previous experience of working in a healthcare setting is desirable. You will have the opportunity to work with the wider multidisciplinary teams and contribute to the weekend service.  The role will also involve some administrative tasks, equipment management, cleaning duties and  general IT skills are required. You should be able to work as directed by the qualified therapists but also be confident and competent in carrying your own caseload and reporting back to the team. You should therefore be able to demonstrate the ability to motivate patients to maximise their rehabilitation potential. Previous experience of working on a Hospital Ward, along with skills in moving and handling patients would be advantageous.
