## Job Content

### Job overview

The Registration Authority (RA) plays a vital role in delivering Identity & Access Management across NHS Spine applications and NHS Spine-enabled Electronic Patient Records (EPR), as well as key components of the Electronic Staff Record (ESR). Our work is essential in managing user identities and ensuring secure access to both trust and national resources, alongside the ongoing maintenance and configuration of NHS Spine applications.

We are seeking a team-oriented individual with a strong desire to learn to join our friendly and supportive service. You will be part of a small dynamic team, initially in a temporary capacity, contributing to the delivery of the trust’s Digi-Care programme. In this pivotal role, you will be a part of the team that Spine enables the RiO EPR, provisioning Care Identities, implementing Position Based Access Control (PBAC), and providing ongoing user support across the trust’s geography.

This post is offered on a hybrid working basis subject to service requirements and in line with the organisation’s flexible working arrangements. If you are eager to develop your skills in a collaborative environment and make a meaningful impact on healthcare delivery, we would love to hear from you!

### Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities:

User Onboarding: Onboard new users to Care Identity through digital and face-to-face identity verification routes. Deliver scheduled and ad-hoc appointments, walk-in clinics, and support on-site sessions for the RiO Spine Enablement programme.

Access Management: Assign, amend, and revoke user access across local and national applications, ensuring access is granted only where a legitimate relationship exists.

Authentication Management: Issue and support authentication methods including Smartcards and Windows Hello.

User Support: Provide first and second-line support to approximately 5,500 users via face-to-face, telephone, and electronic channels while supporting RiO Spine Enablement activity.

Audit & Compliance: Support audits relating to user identities, access permissions, authentication methods, and system usage to maintain compliance with Trust policies and the Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT).

The ideal candidate will be highly computer literate, organised, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Previous experience of Registration Authority processes or NHS systems would be advantageous.

Strong communication skills are essential, with the ability to engage confidently with colleagues at all levels. A willingness to learn, adapt, and embrace new ways of working is equally important.

Ability and willingness to travel throughout the Trust, including where appropriate, to inpatient and secure locations.

### Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Please refer to Job Description and Person Specification attached to the vacancy for more details  of the job.

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.

Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled worker visa.

Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. Applicants requiring a Skilled Worker Visa can determine the likelihood of obtaining a Certificate of Sponsorship against the relevant criteria here https://www.gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa
