Priory Hospital Bristol

Part-Time | 15 hours per week | Site based

Salary is up to £46,816, depending on experience

HCPC registration is required

This is an opportunity to provide psychological therapy to patients receiving treatment in our Acute wards at Redcliffe and Blackwell.

### Main duties of the job

You will be working in our Rehab and Recovery (R&R) service line on Hillside Ward. It is a 14-bedded ward for males and females providing rapid assessment and triage. Treatment is provided for patients with an acute presentation of mental health crisis (psychosis, mood disorder, dementia, or organic brain disease). This is particularly for individuals with complex physical health needs or requiring respite admissions.

Responsibilities

- Receive and respond promptly to referrals
- Undertake specialist psychological assessments and formulate therapy plans
- Deliver individual and group therapy using evidence-based interventions
- Manage an allocated caseload within agreed timescales
- Maintain clear communication with clients, MDT members, and clinical staff
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical records, reports, and electronic documentation

Clinical & Professional Responsibilities

- Provide specialist psychological interventions and standard care plans
- Offer specialist advice, consultation, and guidance to other professionals
- Exercise autonomous responsibility for assessment, treatment, and discharge
- Administer psychometric tests and other evidence-based assessments
- Undertake risk assessment and risk management
- Provide clinical supervision to an Assistant Psychologist
