It is a 14-bedded ward for males and females providing rapid assessment and triage. Treatment is provided for patients with an acute presentation of mental health crisis (psychosis, mood disorder, dementia, or organic brain disease). This is particularly for individuals with complex physical health needs or requiring respite admissions.
