WARD 9 – VASCULAR SURGERY

REGISTERED NURSE – BAND 5

DAY/NIGHT ROTATION

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our skilled clinical team in delivering exceptional surgical care for the population of Tayside and Northeast Fife. Ward 9 forms an integral role in the management of patients with peripheral arterial disease. We are seeking to appoint individuals who possess the skills and passion to deliver excellent care in our newly established vascular surgery ward.

Ward 9 provides both scheduled and unscheduled care for complex and frail patients requiring major arterial surgeries, complex wound management, ongoing input from multidisciplinary team and social care input. This post provides an excellent opportunity for an individual to enhance their surgical skills and offers a variety of development and educational prospects in a well-supported environment.

You will work in a clinical team that values the delivery of safe, effective high-quality care within a challenging surgical environment. You should be committed to providing a high standard of professional nursing care, to support a large and diverse team and demonstrate your ongoing learning with supporting evidence. You will use specialist knowledge to ensure the highest quality of nursing care is provided on Ward 9.

You will possess excellent team-working skills and work using your own initiative. You will demonstrate excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills.

You will demonstrate an ability to promote best practice in health, safety and security by undertaking risk assessment, acting on any identified risks in accordance with local policies.

You must be registered on Sub-part 1: RN1 or RNA or Sub-part 2: RN2 of the UK NMC Register.
