## Job Content

Apple Mews is looking to recruit a Registered Nurse to join the team. This is a full time role of 37.5 hours. Apple Mews is located in the city of Armagh, in Northern Ireland. Our home offers residential and nursing support for 30 adults with a range of needs. This includes people with a learning disability, individuals with physical health needs, and autistic people.

### What you'll be doing

- Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework. Assess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes and acting as the patients named nurse.
- Accurately observe and engage with patients in order to assess need and evaluate progress.
- Monitor and review Nursing Care plans.

### What you'll bring to the role

**Essential**

- Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows. A Qualified Registered General Nurse (RGN) with 6 to 12 months of post-registration experience, holding an active NMC registration and having completed a preceptorship programme. Possesses thorough knowledge of NMC guidelines, standards, and professional practices, alongside evidence of ongoing post-registration professional development. Demonstrates a positive attitude and strong commitment to change, quality improvement, and excellence in care. Skilled in applying flexible and innovative approaches to practice, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Additionally, has a minimum of six months’ experience in a Mental Health or Learning Disabilities care environment, supported by continued professional development in the relevant field.
