Nursing staff co-ordinate care using the Named Nurse concept; a registered nurse who is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and coordinating patient care on an individual basis.

We are seeking registrants to join our team, working to deliver the best care experience possible. We are looking for candidates who enjoy working in a busy environment and are person centred in their approach to work collaboratively with patients/families and carers and as part of the multidisciplinary team.

The in-patient areas work over 24 hours 7 days per week and there will be a requirement to rotate onto night duty when required and in line with the new shift pattern of the area. We have recently changed to a condensed shift pattern working 11.5 hour shifts over a shorter working week.

Hours of work are: Full time - 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be considered. Hours of work can be discussed at interview.

There will be opportunity to be involved in the development of the service and continue with improvement work being undertaken in line with the NHST Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy ‘Living Life Well’. We have a structured staff review system and are keen to support personal and professional development.
