We are seeking a enthusiastic, reliable and flexible receptionist who will work within the Lincoln Urgent Treatment Centre.

### Main duties of the job

Your main role will be to provide a day to day effective and efficient receptionist, whilst talking to patients and clients in a positive and friendly manner, dealing with any queries that may occur, adhering to confidentiality and Data protection policies at all times. To operate a confidential and effective appointments booking system and to receive, register and direct patients to the appropriate area for consultation.

### Skills

**Essential**

- Knowledge and proficiency in use of relevant software packages including Excel, Word, Outlook, ESR, Publisher, Medway, Powerpoint, system one
- Problem solving ability to respond to problems and identify solutions
- Knowledge of Data Protection legislation and being able to use discretion where necessary

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- NVQ Level 2 in business and administration or equivalent experience
- Maths and English GCSE/O'Level grade C or above
- Excellent IT - Microsoft Office, Excell, Word, Outlook

**Desirable**

- Working towards European Computer Driving Licence or equivalent

### Previous Experience

**Essential**

- Experience of working in a busy administrative environment delivery a full range of administrative procedures
- Previous experience of working in a customer focused environment
- Experience of working towards targets/deadlines under pressure
- Awareness of confidentiality
- Excellent Communication Skills, being approachable and polite
- Ability to maintain good working relationships with all members of the team
- Good organisational Skills, using own initiative , with a high degree of accuracy
- Being able to seek appropriate advice from colleagues

- Previous experience of working in the NHS
