### Job summary

North Chelmsford Healthcare Centre are seeking a caring and proactive receptionist to join our team on a part-time basis to cover maternity leave until 11th January 2027. This role involves working across both of our Chelmsford sites: North Chelmsford Healthcare Centre and our branch surgery, Beaulieu Healthcare Centre.

Working hours will be as follows;

Monday: 08:00 14:00 Tuesday: 08:00 14:00 Friday: 12.30 18:30

### Main duties of the job

- Handle patient queries via phone, email, and in person
- Assist the triage doctor as part of the triage team
- Arrange home visits
- Manage card and cash payments from patients
- Oversee waiting lists and follow-up appointments
- Support clinicians and staff with day-to-day tasks

Training and support will be provided with a comprehensive 3-week induction to ensure a smooth onboarding.

North Chelmsford NHS Healthcare Centre is a SystmOne practice with a growing list size of over 17,000 patients. The practice has achieved a Good CQC rating and has an excellent reputation amongst Chelmsford residents. We are part of the Elizabeth Courtauld Partnership and are expanding with a new branch surgery opening in Beaulieu shortly.
