The Imaging Department at The Royal London, Mile End d St Bartholomew's hospitals, Barts Health have an exciting career development opportunity to become a Band 7 Practice Educator facilitator in our team.

The imaging departments at these hospitals have state of the art equipment throughout and provide a varied rotation through different modalities and specialities.

We’re looking for an inspiring Radiography Practice Education Facilitator to drive the development and growth of radiographers, Imaging assistants, radiography students, T-level Students and Apprentices at every stage of their career. You’ll champion high‑quality clinical education, guide learners and staff, and lead colleagues confidently through evolving ways of working. Our vision is to support staff to work to the top of their licence, nurturing skills through training and mentorship to realise a workforce that provides outstanding care for our patients now and in the future.

Imaging services across Barts Health are transitioning to a new model of work, recruiting more staff to drive the quality of care delivered by Radiographers across all sites. ### Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the provision of high quality multi- professional learning environments within the Radiography workforce of Royal London, Mile End and St Bartholomew’s hospitals of Barts Health NHS Trust. The post holder will be required to work locally within services where inter-professional learning opportunities can be promoted. The post holder will be required to support the breadth of the General Imaging, MRI and CT Radiography post-graduate student experience, which may require cross boundary working, and contribute to the delivery of the Radiography workforce strategy.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

## Person Specification

### Knowledge

**Essential**

- Knowledge and understanding of NHS structure and organisation
- Knowledge of different methods/styles for teaching and learning

### Experience

**Essential**

- Extensive experience in core radiographer services, CT and MRI
- Broad range of post graduate clinical demonstrable experience in diagnostic imaging for a minimum of three years
- Demonstrable experience of teaching, supervising and assessing at least one radiographic staff group (such as student, assistant practitioners, practitioners, radiographers, advanced practitioners)
- Experience of change management
- Demonstrable experience of staff management/supervision

**Desirable**

- Knowledge and understanding of NHS structure and organisation

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- To hold DCR(R) or BSc Hons degree in Diagnostic Imaging
- Current and up to date state HCPC registration

**Desirable**

- Post graduate qualification
