### Job overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and patient-focused HCPC-registered MRI Radiographer to join our dedicated MRI team at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (NNUH).

This exciting role offers the opportunity to work across our three MRI sites: NNUH, the Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) and Cromer and District Hospital, providing a varied and rewarding working environment while delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients across Norfolk.

As an MRI Radiographer, you will perform a wide range of MRI examinations, delivering safe, compassionate and patient-centred care using state-of-the-art imaging technology. You will be responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images, maintaining the highest standards of MRI safety, and supporting patients throughout their imaging journey.

Working within a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the ongoing development of the MRI service through audit, quality improvement, education and service development. You will also have opportunities to support student radiographers and colleagues while advancing your own clinical expertise through structured training and continuing professional development.

### Main duties of the job

Your main responsibilities will include:

- Performing routine and complex MRI examinations in accordance with departmental protocols and national best practice.
- Assessing patients' clinical needs, ensuring appropriate preparation, safety screening and ongoing monitoring throughout their examination.
- Producing high-quality diagnostic images while adapting scanning techniques to meet individual patient needs.
- Maintaining a safe MRI environment by adhering to MRI safety policies, local rules and national guidance.
- Working collaboratively with radiologists, clinicians and the wider multidisciplinary team to support timely diagnosis and patient care.
- Participating in the department's quality assurance, audit, governance and service improvement programmes.
- Supporting the education and training of students, assistant practitioners and colleagues within the department.
- Contributing to the continuous development of the MRI service through innovation, research and continuing professional development.
- Participating in the department's extended working day, weekend, on-call and bank holiday rota as required.

- Degree of College of Radiographers or equivalent qualifications
- Current HCPC Registration
- Continuous Professional Development
