This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced registered nurse to support the Emergency Care Collaborative in the leadership and management of the Emergency Department at CIC with a specific focus on CQC recovery following recent inspection .

### Main duties of the job

The role will provide leadership at team level and will support the Collaborative Lead nurse and Operational Managers. the post holder will have responsibility for:

- the delivery of safe, quality emergency department services (safety, effectiveness and patient experience)
- the quality performance of key trust wide care priorities and standards
- ensuring clinical nursing engagement, taking responsibility for clinical governance, safety and risk management within the service
- providing leadership, support and advice to the ED team
- Contribute as appropriate to Collaborative strategy development and implementation
- Supporting and deputising for the Senior Leadership Team

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- 1st Level live NMC (RGN/RN (A)) / HCPC equivalent
- Professional knowledge acquired through degree level study; supplemented by post graduate diploma specialist training
- Substantive experience in a senior nursing position
- PP126/127 or equivalent teaching/assessing
- D32/33 qualification
- Evidence of CPD

**Desirable**

- Leadership Training
- Further specialist professional training to Masters equivalent level
