### Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse with expertise in patient safety, clinical governance, quality improvement and regulatory compliance to make a significant impact across a growing healthcare organisation. The Quality Lead Nurse will provide visible professional leadership across your region, leading the implementation of the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF), driving quality improvement initiatives, supporting CQC readiness and ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care quality.

### Main duties of the job

As a Quality Lead Nurse, you will work closely with Hospital Managers, Clinical Leads and operational teams to create a culture where patient safety, learning and continuous improvement are embedded into everyday practice. You will: Lead and oversee Patient Safety Incident Investigations (PSIIs) and Learning Responses. Champion the implementation and ongoing development of PSIRF and patient safety programmes. Drive quality improvement initiatives using recognised methodologies such as PDSA and Model for Improvement. Support regional teams with CQC inspection readiness, governance and regulatory compliance. Lead risk management processes, ensuring emerging risks are identified and appropriately managed. Use learning from incidents, complaints, audits and patient experience feedback to improve services. Provide professional leadership and line management to the Regional Patient Safety Governance Coordinator. Promote a just culture and psychologically safe environment where staff feel supported to learn and improve.
