Powys Teaching Health Board (PTHB) is committed to delivering excellence through continuous improvement. We have adopted the Model for Improvement as our standardised approach to Quality Improvement (QI), and we are seeking a passionate and skilled Quality Improvement Facilitator to join our team.

In this role, you will:

- Assist in the development and delivery of improvement projects with the aim of achieving high-quality care.
- Assist in the development of project/improvement plans as appropriate and to support on the implementation of specific tasks for the Quality Improvement Team as delegated.
- Lead on the testing of changes through PDSA methodology as appropriate.
- Demonstrate measurable impact of test of change and be able to communicate this impact.

- Passionate about quality improvement and capable of inspiring others to embrace change.
- Experienced in delivering training and mentoring in a flexible, responsive manner.

### Main duties of the job

- Responsible for supporting the development of project/improvement plans for the delivery of specific projects within the Quality Improvement Team for implementation across the Health Board.
- Ensure that specific projects assigned meet key milestones and timescales.
- Lead, motivate, engage and guide staff involved in the project ensuring regular communication is made, feedback is obtained, meetings are held, minutes kept, appropriate reports are presented and agreed actions are implemented.
- Ensure that all key stakeholders are represented and engaged as the project moves forward and to consider their views.

- Experience of either Quality Improvement, project management, service transformation or remodelling of services
- Experience of delivering presentations
- Experience of developing and delivering training

- Previous experience of working in an improvement project environment and evaluation
- Experience in leading and managing improvement initiatives/ projects and delivering identified benefits
- Experience of training and staff support in development
- Experience of working within the NHS
- Experience of ensuring active staff participation in transformation/ improvement initiatives

- Solid basic numeracy
- Change management skills with the ability to deal positively with challenging situations

### Qualifications and Knowledge

**Essential**

- Degree level qualification in related field or relevant experience
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Bronze IQT/Introduction to Improvement Award or equivalent
- Understanding of model for improvement, process redesign and change management
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages

**Desirable**

- Silver IQT/Improvement in Practice Award or equivalent
- Knowledge of project management methodologies
- Knowledge of current NHS performance and service improvement initiatives and targets
