An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Quality Improvement (QI) Team within NMAHP, supporting delivery of an ambitious and evolving workplan across NHS Highland and the Health and Social Care Partnership. The postholder will contribute to a wide range of improvement activity, including delivery of QI training, supporting frontline teams to design and implement improvement projects, and contributing to key national programmes such as the Scottish Patient Safety Programme and Excellence in Care.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in quality improvement, including delivering training and coaching staff in QI methodology. A strong ability to analyse, interpret and present data for the purposes of quality improvement and assurance is essential, including an understanding and practical use of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and run charts. Candidates should be confident translating data into meaningful insights to support decision-making and drive sustainable improvement in practice. A relevant QI qualification and experience of working within a healthcare setting are required.

The postholder will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, bringing energy and creativity to improvement work while supporting a culture of quality and safety. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about improving care and outcomes and is keen to further develop their skills within a supportive and dynamic QI team.

The work base for this post will be Assynt House, Inverness, it is expected that the successful applicant will attend team meetings in this location every other week.

Home working and / or working flexibly from a different NHS location at other times will be considered and were possible supported.

Travel on an ad hoc basis within the NHSH board area and at times to national meetings across Scotland will also be part of this role.
