### Job summary

The post holder will provide clinical, governance, and pharmacotherapy expertise to the Stop Smoking Service within the One You Kent service. The role will support the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality smoking cessation interventions through robust clinical governance, quality assurance, and oversight of pharmacotherapy pathways.

Working as part of the wider One You Kent team, the post holder will contribute to continuous improvement, assurance, and regulatory compliance across the service, ensuring practice aligns with national guidance, contractual requirements, and local population health priorities.

### Main duties of the job

You will support the delivery of high-quality,effective Stop Smoking Services through clinical governance, quality assurance, and pharmacotherapy oversight. They will lead and undertake monthly service-wide clinical audits, including oversight of auditor activity and "audit the auditor" processes, and complete regular service observations across all Stop Smoking Advisors to assure quality, consistency, and adherence to agreed standards. Working closely with the Professional Lead, they will contribute to monthly quality governance processes, reporting, and continuous service improvement activities, ensuring compliance with national guidance, local policies, and organisational quality frameworks.

The role will provide pharmacist oversight and internal clinical sign-off for Patient Group Directions (PGDs), where appropriate, ensuring they remain safe, current, and fit for purpose. ## Person Specification

### Experience

**Essential**

- Experience working in community, public health, primary care, or lifestyle services.
- Experience of clinical governance or quality assurance activity.
- Experience supporting pharmacotherapy delivery or oversight.
- Clinical Supervision experience

**Desirable**

- Experience within a Stop Smoking Service or integrated prevention service.
- Experience contributing to commissioned services, service bids, or contract monitoring.

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Registered healthcare professional (e.g. GPhC-registered pharmacist or other relevant regulated professional e.g. Nursing Qualification or HCPC qualification). Currently registered with no restrictions on practice. Evidence of ongoing CPD.

**Desirable**

- Postgraduate qualification or formal training in public health, clinical governance, or quality improvement. Smoking cessationrelated accreditation. Training qualification
