Working Part time: 22.5 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a QB practitioner to join the Neurodevelopmental Paediatric team based at Kingsway Children's Centre in Chester.

The QB Practitioner will be responsible for administrating the QB tests and the accompanied admin tasks, checking in and out clinic, uploading reports and observations to evolve and contacting to Clinicians to inform that the assessment has been completed.

Please note this post will work in clinics based at Tarporley Hospital.

### Main duties of the job

You will contribute and commit to promoting a positive team-based attitude, striving for the highest standards of care and achieving excellence, through continued development and compassion. You will actively engage with Consultants, Specialist Nurses and members of the secretarial team in order to maintain efficient patient pathways. When instructed you will support senior management in the effective running of the ASD and ADHD service, creating an environment which allows the team to maximise their ability.

You will be expected to exercise independent judgement and using your own initiative. All work must be carried out in a timely and accurate manner, with confidentiality being maintained at all times when dealing with patient/staff information. As a team we strive for a Safe, Kind and Effective culture. You will contribute to this culture as you will be a key contact for patients and carers between relevant sources of support and information appropriate to their needs.

## Person Specification

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Educated to GCSE Level and NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience
- Willingness to undertake training to administer QB testing

**Desirable**

- Attendance at skills development courses and/or training

### Knowledge and Experience

**Essential**

- Experience working with children, young people and their families within clinical, social care, or educational setting, or involvement in developmental assessments.
- Undergraduate level knowledge of Psychology or child development.

**Desirable**

- Experience working therapeutically with children and adolescents who have Neurodevelopmental needs/ASD/ADHD
