This role will establish you as a key member of the team & help to deliver care to this diverse patient group. Prior exposure to patients with endocrine conditions is desirable but not essential. Our Patient general endocrine cohort can require specialist diagnostic tests, therapeutic treatments & regular monitoring. The CYPGS patients can require interdisciplinary psychoeducation regarding gender expression & clinial support. The post holder will be part of a team of specialist nurses who provide specialist nursing care, education and advice to both parents/carers and other centres. You will be expected to work with a multitude of professionals, be confident & able to communicate on a wide range of levels. The Endocrine CNS is often the first point of contact for enquiries from patients, relatives & other professionals. As part of the role, you will assist in undertaking the Growth Stimulation Tests on the medical day care ward. You will also gain skills in Auxology to help assist us in assessment of the children’s growth. The successful candidate will need to work within a team but also to work without supervision, using their own initiative, demonstrating problem solving and excellent organisational skills.
