Here at Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) we have exciting developments and opportunities lined up over the next few years. We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed to work as a Patient Transport Service (PTS) Non-Emergency Ambulance Controller within PTS Logistics.

If you have previously applied and were unsuccessful at the assessment or interview stage, we kindly ask that you wait three months before reapplying. The interview shortlisting will be based on the same criteria as the last recruitment cycle; therefore, we recommend giving yourself at least three more months to allow time to build on your skills and experience, supporting your chances of success in future recruitment cycles.

Once the advert has closed, applications will be shortlisted against the essential criteria for the role. If you are successfully shortlisted, you will be asked to complete three online timed assessments on spelling, accuracy of information and listening skills. Candidates who successfully pass all assessments to the required standard, will then be invited to a formal interview.

### Main duties of the job

The role will require you to work to agreed objectives, to assist with the delivery of contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Working with the aid of a computerised scheduling system the post holders will be responsible for scheduling patient transport requests to ambulance resources on the day of travel.

The ability to communicate on all levels is essential and the successful applicant must be able to work on their own or as part of a team and use their own initiative.
