3x Full-Time Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner

The post-holder will work within Thurrock Talking Therapies service based in Essex providing high quality assessments, low intensity cognitive behavioural treatment interventions, guided self-help, a psychoeducational groups to patients with mild to moderate anxiety and depression.

The post holder will provide assessment and Step 2 low intensity CBT interventions for adults experiencing common mental health problems. This will include guided self-help, psychoeducation, computerised CBT and group or individual interventions, delivered in a clear, sensitive and accessible way. Post-holders will be expected to work two days in-person at a location in Thurrock, with one of those being a late shift (12pm – 8pm).

You will hold a clinical caseload, complete risk assessments, develop risk management plans and respond appropriately to service user crises. You will make referrals and signpost to statutory, voluntary and community services, while developing strong local knowledge of support available across Thurrock.

### Main duties of the job

The role requires close working with Step 2 and Step 3 clinicians, administrators, employment advisors, primary care, secondary care, social care and other external agencies.

You will maintain accurate clinical records, collect outcome data and contribute to audit, service evaluation and clinical governance. You will be expected to attend regular supervision, case management and line management, take responsibility for your own CPD, and work within professional guidelines, Trust policies and Thurrock NHS Talking Therapies procedures.

The role requires strong communication skills, good clinical judgement, respect for confidentiality, and a commitment to equitable, non-discriminatory care.

Some flexibility in working hours may be required, including possible clinics outside normal working hours.

You will be required to work in person two days per week at a location in Thurrock, Essex.

Interviews for this post will take place in person and will involve a group exercise.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.

### Experience

**Essential**

- Experience of working in NHS Talking Therapies service
- Experiencing running psycho-educational groups
- Must have some experience of being a co-facilitator in groups

**Desirable**

- Trained to provide PWP supervision
- Experience in quality improvement/service development projects
- A previous ‘Champion’ role

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- A graduate certificate (Level 6) or postgraduate certificate (Level 7) delivering the national curriculum for Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (adults)
