Job summary

Main duties of the job

The post holder;

Will manage a set of complex projects to professional standards.

Support, facilitate and monitor progress of projects

Support process and performance improvements

Lead a small team of specialists as well as providing matrix-management of project staff

Be responsible for developing Business Cases to secure project funding and subsequent management of these funds

Will be required to manage and advise project staff that have day to day responsibility for overseeing the various elements of implementation, working closely with clinical and non-clinical teams to introduce new ways of working that are consistent with new technology

The Cellular pathology department provides a diagnostic histopathology and cytology service in addition to an andrology unit and a post-mortem service covering 2 mortuaries across the city. This role will sit within the diagnostic service and support the team in initiatives designed to reduce cancer turnaround times.
