### Job summary

The Trusts Programme Management Office (PMO) is currently seeking a Programme Manager to join the Strategy and Partnerships Directorate.

Situated at the Trusts headquarters at 2 Kings Court in Worcester (with some home working as well as travel to other Trust sites), you will be playing a pivotal role in the successful delivery of high-standard, quality outcomes across a range of key Trust work programmes. This position calls for a motivated professional who consistently strives for excellence and personal growth, fostering a similar culture within the team and the wider service through continuous development.

The ideal candidate will have a background in managing and supporting projects. Knowledge of project management tools, techniques and processes is essential.

Please note the Trust is unable to provide sponsorship to work for this role, to apply you must have current right to work in the UK status. Employment on a time limited visa doesnt guarantee sponsorship at point of expiry.

### Main duties of the job

The Programme Manager role will support the PMO Team in delivering the Trusts programme management function, monitoring multiple programmes, and adhering to good practice in programme management. Duties include identifying and logging programme-associated risks and working collaboratively across the Trust. The successful candidate will also deputise for Senior Programme Managers when required, produce programme-related reports and develop project plans.

They will provide advice on programmes, ensure programmes comply with the Trusts Project Management standards and support programme leads in planning and executing programmes and projects. The successful candidate will represent the PMO at events, attend project meetings, and act as the point of contact for programme management queries. The Programme Manager will also review and analyse project documentation, provide guidance to wider Trust teams, and maintain a robust document and data storage system.

## Person Specification

### Knowledge

**Essential**

- Knowledge of project management tools, techniques and processes.
- Awareness of staff management policies and processes.
- High level of computer-literacy including creation and use of spreadsheets, databases, charts reports and data analysis in formats that will enable informed decision making, working to a high degree of accuracy.

**Desirable**

- Awareness of NHS Finances and quality improvement etc.

### Experience

**Essential**

- Relevant project management experience.
- Experience and understanding of project management methodologies.
- Evidence of previous experience of producing documents and presenting to a variety of groups.
- Experience at working both independently and in a team.
- Experience of working in a multidisciplinary/
- multi-organisational health and care environment.
- Experience of interpreting, analysing and using information.
- Experience of producing reports and plans that are clearly accessible and informative to non-specialists.
- Experience of establishing and operating administrative systems.

**Desirable**

- Experience of coordinating, monitoring, and supporting a range of projects.
- Previous experience of working in a PMO environment would be an advantage.
- Experience of working within an NHS organisation.
- Experience of leading staff.

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Educated to Degree level or equivalent relevant experience.
- A project management qualification e.g., P3MO/MSP/Prince2 or evidence of successfully completing a project management related course (e.g., QSIR) or relevant project management experience.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.
