This is a chance to join a rapidly changing and expanding Procurement team, the largest Procurement team in the NHS -  at a forward thinking NHS Foundation Trust.

As a member of the P2P Systems & Development Team, the post holder will be expected to provide highly effective, efficient, and technical support to the Helpdesk & E-Commerce Manager. Utilising tools such as the MFT Finance & Procurement System, Integra as well as Manage Service Engine and Trust wide Financial reporting systems.

The postholder will be responsible for the support and assistance of Trust End Users & External Stakeholders and are in accordance with current Procurement procedures. In addition, the post holder will support the development of P2P Helpdesk & E-Commerce functions. Instrumental to the role is the ability to liaise and negotiate with internal stakeholders of all levels as well as collaborate with connected stakeholders.

### Main duties of the job

Post holder will be responsible for helpdesk support to Trust End Users and External Stakeholders and work closely with colleagues in Scan 4 Safety, Accounts Payable and E-Commerce to ensure correct procedures are followed and adhered too. Development of departmental strategies and adherence to national guidelines around carter metrics, and development to remove manual process utilising automated technology where possible.

Operational efficiency and development of proactive processes for daily running of the department will also be a consideration for the postholder  and assisting senior management with delivery of the service.

To undertake any other duties which are deemed appropriate to the band when requested by senior colleagues, the above indicates some of the main duties of the role which may be reviewed in light of experience and developments within the service – any review will be undertake in conjunction with the post-holder

Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check

What is a DBS Check?

A DBS check is a background check that reveals any criminal convictions, cautions, reprimands, or warnings. The level of check required depends on the role:

Standard DBS: Checks for spent and unspent convictions, cautions, reprimands, and final warnings.

Enhanced DBS: Includes the above, plus any additional information held by local police that’s considered relevant to the role.

Enhanced with Barred Lists: Includes all of the above, plus checks against the children’s and/or adults’ barred lists.

Who Needs a DBS Check

The Costs for a DBS

At Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT), roles that require a DBS check are subject to a cost recovery policy. This means that the cost of submitting and processing a DBS application if you are successful and join us, will be deducted from your salary within the first three months of employment.   If, however, you withdraw from a conditional offer after the DBS process has begun, you will still be liable for the cost incurred.

### Experience

**Essential**

- Working in and office/team environment
- Experience of customer facing roles or equivalent

**Desirable**

- Public or Private sector procurement

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Good standard of education or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of procedures to NVQ level or equivalent
- Customer Service Experience

**Desirable**

- Commitment to study to achieve membership and qualification (CIPS)

### Skills/Knowledge

- Good communication
- Effective organisational and interpersonal
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel
- Ability to work under own initiative
