The post holder will be responsible for both the strategic and operational leadership of ward-based pharmacy technician services, ensuring safe, effective and patient-centred care, alongside a strong focus on continuous service improvement. The post holder will lead and support a team of pharmacy technicians and support staff, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment. They will be accountable for ensuring the safe, efficient and effective use of medicines across clinical areas, working closely with pharmacists, nursing staff and other multidisciplinary team members to support optimal patient outcomes. This role will play a key part in strengthening medicines management processes, supporting service development, and contributing to innovation in line with national standards and local priorities. The successful candidate will also support workforce development, participate in service evaluation, and help embed best practice across the service.
