Job overview

We are seeking a dynamic and autonomous SACT Practice Educator to lead chemotherapy education and support nursing development within the Haematology/Oncology Department at SASH. This role combines clinical expertise with educational leadership to enhance the delivery of Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) and ensure safe, evidence-based care across inpatient and outpatient services.

The post holder will:

  • Act as a visible clinical role model, supporting nurses at the point of care.
  • Deliver and evaluate structured SACT education aligned with national standards, UKONS guidance, and the Surrey & Sussex Cancer Alliance.
  • Support the development of newly qualified nurses, return-to-practice staff, international recruits, and those new to SACT administration.
  • Promote continuous professional development and innovation in practice.
  • Contribute to the Trust’s strategic objectives and uphold its vision for excellence in cancer care.

This is a pivotal role for a confident educator with advanced chemotherapy knowledge and a passion for empowering others in clinical practice.
