### Join Our Portering Team

Post 1: 36 Hours per WeekShift Pattern: Monday to Sunday, working 5 days from 7Location: Queen Margaret Hospital and Lynebank Hospital, Dunfermline

NHS Fife has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Portering Service Team in West Fife.Based across Queen Margaret Hospital and Lynebank Hospital, the successful candidate will provide a high-quality portering and driving service to support patients, staff, wards and departments, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of hospital services.

### About the Role

As a Porter/Driver, no two days are the same. You will undertake a variety of duties including:
- Safe movement and transfer of patients throughout the hospital using wheelchairs, trolleys and beds.
- Delivery and collection of goods, equipment and supplies.
- Transportation of meal trolleys.
- Collection and disposal of waste.
- Furniture and equipment moves.
- Mail room duties.
- Driving duties associated with the role.
- Providing an efficient ad hoc support service to wards and departments as required.

The role involves regular manual handling activities, and full training will be provided.

### About You

We are seeking applicants who are:

- Able to communicate effectively with patients, visitors and colleagues.

A flexible approach is essential, including the ability to cover alternative shift patterns when required.

Previous experience of driving vehicles, working within a team environment, customer service delivery and the use of teletracking systems would be advantageous.

Previous portering experience is desirable, however full training will be provided.

A full, valid driving licence is essential for this post.
