### Job summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic podiatrist to join our friendly, progressive and supportive podiatry team.This role is designed to offer a podiatrist the opportunity to continue to build and maintain their clinical skillset within a structured and supported environment across the whole podiatry service.

The podiatry service operates mainly from a central hub at Surbiton Health Centre where we operate a multi-chair clinic alongside several other community-based health services.This ensures that all podiatrists in the team are very well supported and can access multidisciplinary working across other health professions such as lower limb and physiotherapy.This offers a unique learning opportunity across our community health services.We work closely with our district nursing and tissue viability colleagues ensuring our patients receive multidisciplinary care delivered in the community.

Working within this setting means you will never be working alone.Combined with a preceptorship, there will be quarterly one to ones, clinical supervision sessions, interdepartmental meetings, protected time for continued professional development and annual appraisal.Our service covers nail surgery under local anaesthesia, biomechanics with orthoses provision, core podiatry and high-risk foot care with wound care.Our biomechanics service is fortunate to be able to offer shockwave therapy and presents a further opportunity to the successful candidate with rotation through all our podiatry specialisms.

### Main duties of the job

As part of the induction into this role, the successful candidate will have a funded training opportunity of up to the value of £800 to allow them to complete The Foot in Diabetes Module provided by the Royal College of Podiatry.This training supports the development of knowledge and clinical skills in the management of patients with diabetes and high-risk foot conditions.

As part of ongoing professional development within Your Healthcare CIC, there may also be opportunities for the successful candidate to gain experience working within the organisations private podiatry services.Your Podiatry offers a range of modern treatment technologies including Lunula Laser Therapy and Swift Microwave Therapy offering a unique experience to the successful applicant in how a private practice operates whilst undertaking an NHS position.

### Job responsibilities

Main duties

To work effectively as a member of the multi professional team.

To ensure effective communication with patients, relatives and carers where there may be barriers to understanding.

To maintain accurate records of all patient consultations and related work carried out at each clinical session, including data collection on the Electronic Patient Record System.

To attend and actively contribute to podiatry team meetings, appraisal and one to ones.
