Come and join our forward thinking physiotherapy team, where you will have the opportunity to work alongside a number of multi-disciplinary professionals to assist people in their recovery and return to the community.

The role may involve working across Musculoskeletal, Oncology, and Women’s Health settings. Please note that the Women’s Health component will include supporting or observing intimate internal examinations, in line with appropriate training, supervision, and consent.

### Main duties of the job

The role will involve working in support of the physiotherapist in the assessment of patients,  facilitating timely discharge, delivering physiotherapy treatment programmes as part of an individualised plan of care and promoting independence by working independently or with other members of the physiotherapy or wider multidisciplinary team.

A health related NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification is essential for this post.  Previous experience of working in the NHS or hospital and MDT setting is preferable.  There will be opportunities to work alongside senior staff. Strong professional support is available in terms of in-house training, development and mentoring for the successful candidate.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

## Person Specification

### Experience

**Essential**

- Previous experience as a Support Worker within hospital, community or social care setting or exercise instructor experience
- Experience of communicating with a variety of people

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Computer literacy / IT skills and knowledge
- NVQ level 3 / Agored Level 3 or clinical NHS experience at B2 or B3 level plus knowledge of specific patient conditions and forms of therapy/ exercise delivery acquired through training and experience.

**Desirable**

- General Health & Safety, Risk awareness, with the ability to relate this to individual circumstances and analyse actual risk and take appropriate actions

### Aptitude and Abilities

**Essential**

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organisational skills

### Other Essential Criteria

**Essential**

- Able to travel between Health Board sites to support service delivery
