Based within the Medicine Pathway, you will work across Specialty Medicine wards, including Gastroenterology, Ward 7B Medicine and Infectious Diseases. You will play an important role in supporting patients to regain their mobility, function and confidence following illness, helping them to achieve greater independence and return home safely. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a supportive multidisciplinary team and contribute to delivering high-quality patient care. ### Main duties of the job As a Physiotherapy Support Worker, you will: - Work with a wide variety of patients across specialist medicine wards. - Support physiotherapists to deliver rehabilitation programmes and promote patients' independence. - Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to facilitate safe and timely discharge home.Receive support and training from experienced physiotherapy colleagues. - Gain valuable experience within one of the UK's largest NHS Trusts The Successful Candidate Will Have: - Previous experience in healthcare, the NHS or a similar social care setting. - An NVQ Level 3 qualification, or equivalent knowledge and experience. - Experience of working effectively as part of a team. - Good organisational skills and the ability to manage their own workload. - Experience of working under indirect supervision.
