Physiotherapy Head of Service – Band 8A

Hospital Paediatric and Neonates within Women & Children’s Directorate

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHS GGC) are looking to appoint a Band 8a Paediatric Physiotherapy Service Lead for the Acute Physiotherapy Service within the Royal Hospital for Children.

The post holder is accountable to the Clinical Service Manager and is responsible and accountable staff management, recruitment, appraisal, CPD, discipline, policy, health & safety, management of budget and physical resources, dealing with complaints and liaising with external agencies as appropriate.

The Physiotherapy Service Lead contributes to the strategic direction, clinical leadership and coordination of Physiotherapy Services in RHC to drive and influence the strategic planning, analysis/interpretation and implementation of general, professional and national policies in the establishment and development of the paediatric service.

The Physiotherapy Service Lead is also responsible for a highly specialist clinical caseload within own area of expertise (approx. 0.4 WTE).
