An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our supportive Inpatient Therapy Team at Newark Hospital.

Working across our inpatient wards, you will assess, treat and rehabilitate patients with a wide range of clinical needs, supporting safe and timely discharge. The role includes working on Sconce and Castle Ward, providing rehabilitation for patients transferred from King’s Mill Hospital, and Minster Ward, a day-case unit caring for elective orthopaedic patients.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Band 6 or an aspiring Band 5 looking to develop their skills in rehabilitation, orthopaedics and complex patient management within a friendly multidisciplinary team committed to delivering outstanding patient-centred care.

### Experience

**Essential**

- Varied post graduate experience in an acute hospital
- Experience working as part of a team
- Able to plan and prioritise own patient workload.
- Must be able to work in a flexible manner adapting to changing situations
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Experience of supervising other staff and students

**Desirable**

- Clinical supervisor

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Degree in Physiotherapy, BSc(Hons) or Graduate Diploma in Physiotherapy
- State Registration

### Further Training

**Essential**

- Evidence of continual professional development (CPD) and attendance at postgraduate-level courses

**Desirable**

- Leadership courses

### Knowledge Requirements

**Essential**

- Good Theoretical knowledge of anatomy, physiology, psychology, medicine and surgery.
- Good awareness of National Health and Social policy in the context of Acute hospital
- Understanding of clinical governance and its implications for services, including experience of audit
- Have a basic working knowledge of IT packages
- Excellent communication and liaison skills
- Excellent prioritising and time management skills
- Ability to formulate and develop specialised individual treatment programmes and ability in using clinical reasoning skills based on current best practice

**Desirable**

- Experience of supervision and appraisal
- Some experience of social services or intermediate care services
- Experience of initiating service development

### Contractual Requirements

**Essential**

- Must be able to work flexible hours over a 7 day period
