The Role

We are looking to recruit a Band 5 Community Paediatric Physiotherapist to join our Lanarkshire wide service. We provide input to children and young people at home, in clinic and in schools and nurseries. We have a dedicated paediatric MSK service. We support respiratory care in the paediatric ward at University Hospital Wishaw. There is no On Call commitment. The successful candidate will have experience in all aspects of community paediatric physiotherapy. The office base for the post will be at Coathill Hospital, however the ability and willingness to travel across the area of service delivery is essential.

In this key role, you will:

- To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of own work including direct and indirect patient care.
- To assess capacity, gain valid consent and have the ability to work within a legal framework with patients who lack capacity to consent.
- Act independently to assess, analyse and provide a clinical diagnosis for individual patients to determine their need for physiotherapy intervention.
- Delegate appropriate tasks and supervise Physiotherapy Support Workers to maximise efficiency and achieve desired outcome of care.
- Actively participate in physiotherapy and specialist team in-service training programme to promote personal development.

What You'll Bring:

- Registered Physiotherapist with valid HCPC Registration
- The post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative
- Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- A driving licence is required; this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
