### Band 6 Inpatient Oncology, Haematology and Lymphoedema

### Physiotherapy

### 12 months Temporary 14.4 hours

We have an exciting opportunity for a physiotherapist with an enthusiasm for working with patients within Oncology

This post holder will be responsible for the assessment and treatment of patients on the inpatient oncology wards in the Western General Hospital as well as working towards managing a caseload of out-patients, including those with cancer-related lymphoedema, living in the Edinburgh and Lothians area.

If no previous postgraduate qualifications in Lymphoedema assessment and management the post holder will be expected to complete a post graduate certificate in Lymphoedema practice, if this post is extended.

This is a varied and challenging clinical area where candidates need to demonstrate clinical experience of assessing and treating patients with neurological, respiratory and general mobility problems. Experience in delivering acute Oncology physiotherapy care would be of benefit as would experience in Lymphoedema management

This is a developing service and an exciting opportunity on offer for a suitable candidate.

Therapy Services support staff development through appraisal process, supervision and CPD opportunities.
