You will be responsible for the day to day running and supervision of the friendly and hardworking Pharmacy Stores and Distribution team. This will include coordinating the work and training of pharmacy assistants within the stores and distribution department; implementation and management of changes to processes; managing MHRA drug recalls; reconciliation of delivery paperwork and managing delivery problems; liaising with suppliers and customers and dealing with procurement related problems and enquiries. Participation in the late duty, weekend and Bank Holiday Rota is a requirement for this post. Applicants must hold NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 Qualification in Pharmacy Services OR equivalent recognised qualification in Stores and Distribution and a GCSE in English, Science and Maths Grade C or above. All applicants should have good post qualification experience within NHS Pharmacy and Stores & Distribution. If a qualified pharmacy technician, you must have evidence of registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) of Great Britain. Assist and deputise the Lead Technician - Stores and Distribution to plan, co-ordinate and efficiently prioritise the daily/weekly workload of Pharmacy Stores, including ward top-ups, expiry date checks and supply of ambient and cold chain medicines.
